About the quilt block

The Danger Signal block was published under the Nancy Page byline featuring household articles and quilt patterns. The character was created by Florence Le Ganke Harris whose early career included being a home economics supervisor for the Oakland Schools. At one time she was accused of “spreading propaganda against the economy and efficiency program of the school department.”
